Greed
This year's theme is Greed - think of movies like 'Wall Street' or 'Seven' or 'Citizen Kane', or books like 'Money: A Suicide Note' by Martin Amis, or Notes on a Scandal' by Zoë Heller. You could write about greed for fame, fortune, food, a person, experience of life. Greed can sometimes be positive, in the sense that it pushes people to act, but often the consequences can be negative, in terms of the effects of an overwhelming desire on the rest of a person's life and their family and friends.
